A CHARTER ORDINANCE EXEMPTING THE CITY OF SATANTA, KANSAS FROM PROVISIONS OF K.S.A. 15-209 ESTABLISHING RESIDENCY REQUIREMENT FOR APPOINTED CITY OFFICERS.

BE IT ORDAINED BY THE GOVERNING BODY OF THE CITY OF SATANTA, KANSAS:

SECTION 1: By authority of Article Twelve, Section Five, of the Constitution of the State of Kansas, the City of Satanta, Kansas does hereby elect to exempt itself from the provisions of K.S.A. 15-209 as amended, which are enactments of the legislature of the State of Kansas applicable to the City of Satanta, Kansas.

SECTION 2. The provisions of K.S.A. 15-209 shall not apply to officers of the City of Satanta, Kansas.
