It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to place any wires of any kind or description in or about any building in the city which are intended for the purpose of conveying electric current for light, heat or power, without first having made application to the City Clerk and secured from him a license authorizing such person, firm or corporation to engage in the business of electrical wiring within the city. The fee for an original license shall be Twenty-five Dollars ($25) for the first year and may be renewed upon payment of an annual renewal fee of Five Dollars ($5) if renewed each year thereafter. If an original license is not renewed each year, the electrician shall be required to secure a license in the same manner and pay the same fee as required for an original license before engaging in the business of electrical wiring within the city. Such license shall not be issued until said person, firm or corporation has made payment of the license fee and filed with the City Clerk a bond with good and sufficient surety executed to the City of Satanta in the sum of One Thousand Dollars ($1000), and conditioned that the principal and his or its employees, agents and servants will comply with all of the ordinances of the city governing electrical wiring and installation and will hold and save the city free and harmless from all loss or damage to persons or property resulting from or arising out of the negligence or failure of such person to use due care in performing any work for which such license is required.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the sum provisions of this article shall upon conviction thereof, be fined in any sum not exceeding One Hundred Dollars, ($100) or be imprisoned not to exceed thirty (30) days, or be both so fined and imprisoned.
